The mission of Helping Hands for the Disabled is to support people with developmental disabilities in achieving their potential, build their self-confidence and enhancing their community involvement. To accomplish this, we commit our energy and resources to developing and maintaining residences and a continuum of program services to meet their needs.
We operate four residential programs in East King County. Champion House and Halcyon are group homes and each is home to eight people with severe and multiple disabilities. Visions and Trail House are operated as Intensive Tenant Support Programs. At Visions we provide 24 hour nursing to five people, one of whom is ventilator dependent. At Trail House, we provide supervision and support to two young men and one young woman. All of our homes are located in neighborhoods and our residents are involved in many community activities. We strive to take excellent care of our clients and our facilities. |
